Farndon — What to Expect

An immersive Nordic sauna experience overlooking the Welsh hills

Suda Sauna is a wood-fired Nordic sauna experience located beside Aptitude Gym in Farndon, with sunset views across the Welsh mountains and surrounding countryside.

Community sessions are relaxed, social, and open to everyone — whether it’s your first sauna or part of your regular routine.

Expect heat, fresh air, good conversation, exceptional views and a chance to slow down and reconnect.

We host a mixture of:

  • mixed community sauna

  • silent sauna

  • female-only sauna

  • ambient sauna

  • disco sauna

  • guided rituals & experiences

Open Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Your Session

Each session lasts 75 minutes.

During your session you can move freely between:

  • The wood-fired sauna

  • The cold plunge tanks

  • The cold shower

  • The outdoor seating area to cool down and rest

Most people cycle between heat, cold, and fresh air several times during the session.

There’s no pressure to follow a strict routine — just listen to your body.

Facilities

Our new Farndon site includes access to:

  • changing rooms & lockers

  • warm showers

  • toilets

  • on-site parking

  • café access via Aptitude Gym

The sauna space itself is intentionally tucked away to create a more private and immersive experience.

What to Bring

To make the most of your session, we recommend bringing:

• A towel to sit on in the sauna
Swimwear
Flip flops or sandals
• A water bottle
• A second towel for drying off

Sauna Etiquette

To keep the space comfortable and welcoming for everyone:

  • always sit on a towel inside the sauna

  • rinse before entering cold plunges

  • be mindful of others sharing the space

  • take breaks whenever needed

  • listen to your body at all times

This is a relaxed community space built around respect, presence and shared experience.

First Time?

If it’s your first sauna, a simple approach works well:

  1. Start with roughly 10-30 minutes in the sauna

  2. Cool down outside or with a cold plunge (roughly 1-5 minutes)

  3. Rest for a few minutes

  4. Repeat a few times during your session

Everyone’s tolerance is different — go at your own pace.

Community Sauna

Alongside our regular sauna sessions, we’ll also be introducing more guided sauna experiences, including:

  • aufguss ceremonies

  • guided contrast therapy

  • breathwork sessions

  • scent and aroma rituals

  • seasonal wellness events

Our aim is to create a welcoming space where people can unwind, reconnect, and experience the benefits of sauna, cold water immersion and contrast therapy in a relaxed outdoor setting.

No alcohol or drug use is permitted anywhere on site. Anyone arriving intoxicated will be refused entry and politely asked to leave.
